These are the basic steps in creating web pages using
Microsoft FrontPage Express that comes with Internet Explorer 4.0
- Creative a new file. To create a new HTML document, go to FILE-NEW
DOCUMENT-BLANK. Make sure you save your file using FILE-SAVE. Your file must be in all
lower case, and must contain no spaces or special characters.
- Name the page. To give the web page a Title, go to FILE-PAGE
PROPERTIES. Be sure to give it a Title, the Author and Description is not necessary.
- Choose a background graphic or color. FILE-PAGE
PROPERTIES-BACKGROUND. Choose a background color, or click on BACKGROUND IMAGE and then
BROWSE if you want a picture for your background
- Type in your information.
- If you wish to insert a picture, click on INSERT-IMAGE and choose
the picture you want to use with the BROWSE button.
- If you want to insert a horizontal bar, click on INSERT-HORIZONTAL
LINE.
- If you want to insert music, go to INSERT-BACKGROUND SOUND.
- If you want scrolling text, go to INSERT MARQUEE
- When you want some text or a picture to link to another web page,
highlight the text or picture and click on INSERT-HYPERLINK. On the drop down box and
choose HTTP and then in the box below type in the FULL URL (http://www.here.com)
